20.09.2007

From September 19 citizens of Russia do not need to obtain visas to the Philippines, provided that the length of stay will not exceed 21 days. A tourist’s passport should be valid at least for 6 month from the last day of staying in the country. To cross the boarder Russian tourists have to show valid return ticket, passport and posses enough money for the whole holiday period. The period of stay in the Philippines can be extended through the Immigration Office in Manila.

This agreement between the foreign ministers of Russia and the Philippines was signed in the beginning of August 2007. However it extends only on tourists from Russia – tourists from Belarus and Ukraine still need to obtain visa before travelling to the Philippines.
