Press Release - October 2000
Holiday World Organisers Prepare for Success
Bookings for Central Europe's Premier Tourism Industry Event, Holiday World, indicate an exceptionally strong event for the 10th anniversary edition this February.
The development of Holiday World is far from ceasing after 10 years according to Czech Director, Jiri Pavlik. "The high number of exhibitor bookings we have received to date are a clear indication of confidence -- both in the event and in the market. We are actively listening to exhibitor feedback and continuing to make changes that will benefit all participants at the show."
Local and regional exhibitors are expected to offer a comprehensive portfolio of travel product to international and interregional travel trade buyers. A significant percentage of the exhibitor base will be from the Czech Republic as in the past, but offers from Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia are expected to be especially strong in 2001.
Marketing of the event will be strongest within the region to generate the trade buyers for destinations outside. The Central European Travel Conference organised with cecta is scheduled for February 7th and is expected to increase senior-management level visitor attendance to Holiday World.
The influence of ITE Travel Exhibitions in the organisation of the exhibition has included introducing a more clearly defined marketing strategy on an international level. An integral part of that strategy is the enhancement of international marketing and development of new initiatives. David Hammond, Director of ITE Travel Exhibitions asserts "We are actively pursuing new ideas to annually reconfirm Holiday World as the event for the Central European region. This means that we must be extremely in touch with the market movements as well as the opportunities available to promote Central Europe outside of the region."
According to ITE Travel Exhibitions' London office, many destinations have confirmed their participation for 2001 and have been reaping the benefits of a presence at this event for years. Aside from the countries within the region the following have confirmed their participation in Holiday World 2001: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Dubai, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, India, Italy, Israel, Malta, Malaysia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and representatives from the USA and the UK.
International marketing will be a high priority in the coming months. Alliances have been forged with several leading tourism industry publications for coverage and promotion and the ITE sales team will be available with sales information at several key industry events. TTG Czech Republic will again publish the show daily on the trade days.
Holiday World will take place from February 8-11, 2001 at the Prague Exhibition Grounds. The first two days of the event will be open to trade only. For more information, please contact Kimberly Ziegler ITE Travel Exhibitions [email protected].
