From 15 June, flights operated by the Russian airline, KD Avia, will depart three times a week from Amsterdam direct to Kaliningrad. Brussels will also have three flights a week starting on 27 July, and Dusseldorf will have daily flights starting 15 June. From Kaliningrad, there are excellent connections to different destinations in Russia.
KD Avia has an impressive national and international network. The connecting time for national destinations such as Samara, Omsk, Novgorod, Kazan, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Ufa, St. Petersburg and Moscow is usually less than two and a half hours. KD Avia also offers flights to Milan, London, Hamburg, Barcelona, Athens, Prague, Hanover, Munich, Astana and Kiev.
The KD Avia fleet consists of twelve Boeing 737-300s, all with a full economy class configuration. From 7 June, extra Boeing 737-300s will complete the fleet. In 2006, KD Avia won the “Wings of Russia 2006 Award” as best Russian Airline.
Kaliningrad began flights in 1946 on a national level. The first international flight was in 1993 as a state-owned company. In 1997, the independent airline, Kaliningradavia, was founded and in 2005, KD Avia was introduced.
KD Avia has General Sales Agents (GSA) in the Benelux countries who take care of all sales and marketing activities for the company. Travellers and travel agencies can make reservations over the phone via 02/712.64.25 or by mail [email protected]. Travel agencies can also book KD Avia flights in Amadeus, Galileo or Sabre. KD Avia is one of the few airlines still offering 7% commission to IATA-agencies.
