Plenary Session Part 1 (19th April 09:45 -11:00)
Session will focus on current government policy concerning the ongoing freight transport development in Russia and its continued integration in to international markets. Speakers will be invited to comment on the current economic crisis and its impact on trade development.

    Session 2 - Customs and Trade Development (2:15-3:45)
    For shippers, customs procedures and regulations are the primary concern in developing trade in Russia. Session will continue the dialogue, initiated at the TransRussia 98 conference, between shippers, forwarders and the customs authorities.

    Speakers will focus on the concept of transport logistics and its status in Russia - issues to include supply chain management and the role of the freight forwarder implementing effective distribution in Russia and the CIS.

    Session 4 - Transport Industry - Port Development (20th April 09:00-10:30)
    Ports are a critical interface for Russia's transport chain. Session will focus on the ongoing developments to increase and renew the port infrastructure to include criteria for attracting international investment, strategies for the selection of transit ports and trends in port management and direct marketing to port users.

    Europe's rail and road freight operators are increasingly integrating their services in to Russia and on to the republics of Central Asia. Session will evaluate obstacles that still need to be overcome to further develop distribution in the region.
