THE MOTOR & TRANSPORT DIVISION

The ITE Motor & Transport Division is the leading organiser of events within the emerging market sector. Expertise in this field, coupled with unique partnerships worldwide, has produced highly reputable and prestigious exhibitions and conferences for the automotive and transport industries, attracting over half a million visitors and two thousand exhibitors each year.

Automotive exhibitions are held annually in Russia, Dubai, Egypt, Turkey, and the Czech Republic and similarly, Transport & Logistic events take place in Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Despite the present downturn in market conditions, these events continue to develop and expand, and 2001 has been an extremely successful year for us.

The 6th Russian International Motorshow, supported by OICA, took place on 23rd August 2001, and proved to be the most successful event in the series to date. More than 40,000 sqm of exhibition space was dedicated to all sectors of the automotive industry and the show attained overwhelming media coverage on both a domestic and international scale. We have received excellent feedback from our clients and the 2002 show is expected to be equally successful.

TransRussia 2001 took place in Moscow on 27th March and was also regarded as a great success amongst key players from the transport industry. It is the largest exhibition of its kind in Eastern Europe and has achieved a high reputation for bringing cargo owners and service providers together, and offering businesses the chance to firmly establish themselves in this competitive and challenging market. Visitor numbers more than doubled this year and the show received valuable support from national groups in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Lithuania. Furthermore TransRussia had strong backing from the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation.

As our other exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Egypt and Turkey continue to flourish, ITE Group is constantly on the lookout for potential acquisitions around the globe. We have recently launched a new 4x4 show in Dubai, which will take place in November 2002 and have plans to establish TransAsean in Indonesia for September 2002.
