AUTO SALON '99 GETS INTO 5TH GEAR

Auto Salon '99 will celebrate its 8th year in the Moscow Motor Show series with a 40,000 sqm
strong show of both national and international brand names. Organisers ITE and ASM Holding will
assemble an impressive show case of everything the car industry has to offer, from the latest
luxury sports car to the smallest of component parts.
With only a few months to go, preparations are now in 5th gear. Stand designs, models to be
displayed and on site marketing campaigns are being finalised for over 600 companies. Just some of
the famous companies at Auto Salon '99 are also some of the biggest companies in the world,
including; Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Ford, Skoda, Fiat, Renault, Volkswagen, Mercedes
Benz, BMW, Audi, Peugeot, Volvo, Itochu, Isuzu, Saab, Iveco, Tatra, Karosa and IrisBus.
Mirroring market changes, Russian participation in Auto Salon '99 has increased over last year's
show. Russian companies at Auto Salon '99 will include Moskvitch, ZIL, GAZ, VAZ, Ecotrans, MAZ,
KAMAZ, Irito among others.
The tremendous popularity of the yearly motor show is explained by Russia's love of cars combined
with a basic need to get from A to B in a vast country. "Russia is a very particular market.
No matter what the official statistics, we always eat, drink, drive our cars and love our women.
For many Russians, the Moscow Motor Show is the door to the international automotive industry"

Auto Salon '99 is the 8th event in the Moscow Motor Show series. The exhibition will open in the
Krasnaya Presnya International Exhibition Complex for one week, on Monday August 23.
