ITE Group plc, the international exhibitions specialist, today announces the appointment of Iain Paterson to the Board of Directors as Non-Executive Chairman with immediate effect. Mr Paterson, 55, has over 30 years of management experience at a senior level, most particularly in the oil industry. Most recently he was a Board Member and International Director of Enterprise Oil PLC, where he was integral in growing the company from a £400 million UK company to an international FTSE 100 business with a market capitalisation of £3 billion. Previously he spent 14 years at British Petroleum plc, where he held numerous managerial positions, particularly in the Middle East and the USA. He currently holds Non-Executive Directorships at Paladin Resources plc, an international oil and gas explorer and producer; MOL Rt, the Hungarian energy company; and Hunting PLC, the oil field services conglomerate. He was also previously Chairman of Octagon Energy Limited from 1998 - 2001. Mr Paterson holds an MA in Natural Sciences from Selwyn College, Cambridge, an MSc in Geophysics from Durham University and a PMD from Harvard Business School.
