In December 1998 ITE acquired IEG Solingen, a German based specialist exhibition organiser in Central and Eastern Europe. IEG is a leader in the region with over 30 years experience in organising medical, industrial engineering, telecommunications, oil & gas, chemistry, construction, agriculture & flora and food & drink exhibitions in Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Romania, Belarus, Bosnia Hercegovina, and Bulgaria. In the healthcare sector alone, IEG organise 13 shows in 13 countries. IEC Berlin (part of IEG) will organise 14 shows on a variety of themes on behalf of the German government. The events will take place around the world and offer ITE group another opportunity for cross selling.
