Expo Electronica offers viable export opportunities to Russia

Expo Electronica 2000, Sovincenter, Moscow, Russia
18 - 20 April 2000

Expo Electronica, the 3rd International Trade Fair for the Electronic Components and Production Equipment Industry, will take place in the Sovincenter, Moscow, 18 - 20 April 2000 in what promises to be a much more optimistic economic climate.

A recent British government rating identified the Russian electronics industry as a high priority market for export. British Trade International, which forms part of the DTI, believes there is a high level of demand in Russia for international IT and electronics products (source: 1999 DTI Markets and Sectors Matrix).

Last year's exhibition, which took place in the aftermath of the rouble crisis, attracted 67 companies from 8 countries and over 4,000 qualified professional visitors. Now that Russia is in the process of overcoming its economic troubles, organisers ITE anticipate a healthy growth for this year's event. Confirmed exhibitors at Expo Electronica 2000 already include DuPont, Symmetron, Sovtest, Special Electronic, Electromir, Arkos, Ekit, Alkon Anglia and Electronaya among others.

With the full support of Electronintorg (representing Russian manufacturers of electronic components) and Ardek (association of Russian distributors of electronic components) this is the only show dedicated to the electronic components and production equipment industries of Russia.

Expo Electronica 2000 will again run in conjunction with the 8th Annual East-West Electronics Forum organised by Future Horizons and COMTEK - International Computer and Information Technology Exhibition and Conference. This combination of events attracts industry specialists from throughout Russia and the CIS states to Moscow for four days of busy negotiations.
