St. Petersburg's first major international Interior Design, Furnishing and Finishes exhibition, INTERIORS ST. PETERSBURG 97 which took place between 22-25 October 1997 at Lenexpo has set the precedent as the leading trade event for the industry in the North-West region of Russia.

Different themes ran in conjunction such as:

BATIMAT, HEAT/VENT & INTERSTONE ST.PETERSBURG 97 co-organised by Interexpo which proved to be very successful and reflected the diversity of needs within the market.

There is little doubt that this new market offers many lucrative commercial opportunities, and this was very much in evidence at Interiors St. Petersburg 97. It was the international participation of the exhibition which was particularly impressive.

The show was officially inaugurated by Mr. Loktinov the Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg (left), Sir Hugh Bidwell Chairman of ITE (middle) and Mr. Ivanov First Deputy General Director of Lenexpo (right).
