Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition (KIHE) in Almaty on 16 - 19 May 2000 has proven again to be the biggest Healthcare exhibition in Central Asia.
It has retained its position as the number one promotional and business forum for the region.

Official Support
KIHE / Drugstore enjoys official support of The Agency for Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Diabetes Association of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Dental Association and JSC Medtechnika.

Latest achievements in the fields of applied medicine, new technologies, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, stomatology and cosmetics were displayed at KIHE / Drugstore 2000.
Specialised sections at KIHE reflect the pace of development in Central Asia. Kazakhstan's population of over 14 million is expected to raise it's medical procurement needs to over $42 million this year.

Exhibition Features
Specialised sections: Dental and Optical. Alongside KIHE for the 2nd consecutive year there was Drugstore Kazakhstan 2000 - an event, specific to the pharmaceutical industry. It gathered producers and distributors of pharmaceuticals and OTC products.

This year KIHE made a great breakthrough with the whole range of seminars and workshops, held alongside the exhibition in the seminar room. Exhibitors commented: "KIHE got a new life blow it longed for".

Visitor Profile

Over 10,000 visitors attended the exhibition. For the first time a 50 tenge (less than half a US dollar) entrance fee was introduced and all profit was donated to a children charity organisation.

KIHE / DRUGSTORE 2001 will take place from 15 - 18 May 2001, Atakent Exhibition Centre, Almaty, Kazakhstan and will be organised by ITE Group Plc (London), IEG-Gima (Germany) and ITECA (Almaty). ITECA is also organising Astana - Healthcare 2000 exhibition in the new Capital of Kazakhstan, 10 - 12 October 2000.
