We have been able to secure exclusive exhibition rates at two excellent international hotels in St Petersburg, officially appointed for the duration of the exhibitions: the Pribaltiskaya and the Astoria Hotels. HOTEL PRIBALTISKAYA * * * * A typical Soviet style high rise hotel located 7km from the city centre and about 20 mins by car from the Exhibition Centre. The hotel has spacious rooms with ensuite facilities and although furnished to a Swedish design it is typically Russian. There are 5 restaurants, 4 bars, a casino, a sauna and swimming pool and the usual gift shops. HOTEL ASTORIA * * * * * A traditional hotel in the historical city centre within walking distance of the beautiful Winter Palace and 5 minutes by car from the exhibition centre. Built in 1912 and renovated in 1990, its rooms are large and elegantly furnished with ensuite bathrooms, colour TV, telephone, fridge and mini bar. The hotel houses many inherited antiques from the Romanov dynasty and boasts a well regarded restaurant as well as a cafe, 3 bars, a fitness centre, indoor pool and 2 saunas. There are two Astorias, A&B, which are joined and share the same facilities. There is only a slight difference in the standard of the room furnishings between the two. There are several hotels in the city from the highest standard to more modest accomodation to suit all needs.
