The
rapid progress of the Russian exhibition
industry has been well documented in recent
years and in April 2007 the country will
host its first trade event to exceed 80,000m² (net).
MosBuild is firmly established
as the premier annual B2B marketplace for
suppliers and specialists from the building
and interiors trade. 2,750 exhibitors will
be presenting, promoting, researching, demonstrating
and developing future business with an anticipated
audience of around 100,000 attendees over
a four-day period.
MosBuild was first held
in 1995 and its meteoric growth reflects
the massive development of the building and
interiors industry in Russia.
It simultaneously occupies two of the largest
exhibition venues in Moscow,
namely Expocentr and Crocus Expo.
The event has captured
the momentum of a very active industry. New
commercial and domestic properties and widespread
refurbishment projects have resulted in a
boom period for the building and interiors
sector in Russia.
Increased disposable incomes have stimulated
demand for a wide variety of products and
services from around the world.
ITE’s
General Director in Moscow, Alexander
Shtalenkov, commented. “This
milestone is significant for the whole Russian
exhibition industry. It is further evidence
of the development of our economy and of Moscow’s
ability to host an event of such scale. This
year’s MosBuild will be something that
we can be very proud of but we won’t
be celebrating for long as plans for 2008
are well advanced and the event will be even
larger, more impressive and further developed
next year.”
