ITE and MSI Fairs Agree Co-operation for Autumn 2007 Russian Travel Event
The ITE Group and Austrian based MSI Fairs & Exhibitions
have announced a co-operation agreement to combine
their Autumn Russian travel events, ‘Select
Travel Expo’ and ‘Leisure Otdykh’ from
2007. The joint event will be located at Expocentr
in Moscow and will take place on 3rd to 5th October.
This partnership will provide the industry with a
powerful combination of the pre-eminent exhibition
organisers in the travel sector of the Russian market. Both
Select Travel Expo and Leisure Otdykh brands will
be retained.
ITE Chief Executive, Ian Tomkins commented. “This
business initiative between ITE and MSI has been
undertaken to provide the travel industry in Russia
with the best possible event to facilitate their
business operations. The combined event will be held
at Expocentr in Central Moscow in the first week
of October to enable the travel industry maximum
opportunity to secure business for the forthcoming
travel season.”
MSI General Director, Kristof Szymoniuk commented. "There
is an international trend of affiliating trade fairs
of related topics. In our case, exhibitors as well
as visitors will profit from cooperation between
ITE and MSI Fairs & Exhibitions in many ways.
Each fair organiser has years of experience of organising
tourism trade fairs in Russia and each company has
specialised on different countries. By joining the
events, each region of the world will be presented
strongly and professionally. "
The event will feature all sectors of the travel industry
including, leisure, luxury, spa, MICE, adventure and
educational travel. It will become the second most
important travel industry event in Russia behind ITE’s
Moscow International Travel and Tourism (MITT) held
annually in March.
