RUSSIA'S PREMIER FOOD TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION |
||
- Following the acquisition of Comtek International in 2000 by ITE Group plc, the leading exhibition organiser in emerging markets, World Food Tech Moscow is being re-launched in response to the continuing growth in the Russian food processing industry. Originally held alongside World Food Moscow, the major food and drink exhibition held each Autumn, World Food Tech was then launched in 1998 as a stand-alone exhibition. - Previously held at the VVC, which proved unfavourable with exhibitors due to its location in Moscow, World Food Tech has been re-located to the Olympiysky Complex on Prospect Mira. The venue was purpose built for the 1980 Olympics and is now recognised as a major International Exhibition venue in Moscow. It is easily accessible for visitors by road and metro and is situated close to the city centre and International hotels. The official hotel for World Food Tech, the 5-star Renaissance Hotel, is within 100 yards of the venue, which offers added convenience for exhibitors and visitors alike. - World Food Tech will run in response to the demand from visitors to ITE's well renowned event Ingredients Russia, the niche show for producers of ingredients, additives and flavourings, for a highly- focused, well-organised food and beverage processing exhibition. ITE will be inviting these leading food and drink producers by direct mail to World Food Tech, which include multinationals such as Coca-Cola, Cadbury's and McDonald's. - World Food Tech was supported previously by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Russian Federation, confirming its importance in the Russian food trade calendar. - World Food Tech will benefit from ITE's expertise and knowledge of the Russian market and over 10 years of exhibition organising in Russia, with its strong links with the local Ministries, Associations, Press and affiliated organisations. - Through an intensive marketing and visitor promotion campaign, the exhibition aims to attract around 10,000 professional visitors in 2002. |
