Soya Ukraine
New this year is the introduction of a Soya section. This section has been launched in recognition of the growth in this industry in Ukraine. According to the world's leading dieticians, the soya bean is set to be the basis of healthy nutrition in the 21st century. The Ukrainian meat processing and cattle breeding industry is experiencing problems due to a shortage of cattle feed and lack of raw materials available for meat production. This has forced organisations to import foreign meat products which are expensive to the end consumer, and farmer s have had to cull existing livestock instead. Therefore, great demand exists for Soya products and additives to increase local meat production as it is both a cheaper and healthier alternative. For example, the Odessa State Academy for Food Technology has developed soya for cattle and poultry. Opportunities exist for producers of soya products which will boost the domestic meat industry in the Ukrainian market.
Seminars at World Food Ukraine
Following the success of a series of seminars running alongside the exhibition, the organisers will be offering seminar facilities, should your company wish to organise a seminar during the show. Last year at Interfood Ukraine, I.C.E, the Italian Foreign Trade Board, played host to a day of seminars covering topics on the Ukrainian Food Processing Industry. The seminar was attended by over 100 trade professionals and also included talks given by EBRD, Kiev Private Bank and Ukreximbank.
