for their own travel arrangements including visas and that ITE undertake
no responsibility other than in an advisory capacity. We would like to
advise you that your provisions for travel should be made as far in advance
as possible to avoid any disappointment.
Getting to Moscow
By Air: Daily air services to Moscow is available from all major
international airports. Airlines offering regular flights include: Aeroflot,
British Airways, Transaero, Alitalia, Air France, Delta, Finnair, Lufthansa,
Air India, Balcon and many more.
By Rail: Moscow's train network links the city to many other international
rail lines, access to Moscow by rail can be gained from Warsaw, Prague,
Budapest, Frankfurt, Paris, Venice and many other European destinations.
Travel in Moscow
Metro: Moscow has good infrastructure systems and travel is made
easy by Moscow's famous metro system. Over 150 stations link the city
and some view the stations as a tourist attraction in themselves.
Taxis: Official taxis are widely available throughout Moscow,
identified by their yellow colour and draught-lines along the side. The
bigger hotels will have taxi points located close to them or are able
to arrange taxis upon request. Repair of the non-official city taxis is
often questionable and it is advisable to check them over to ensure your
safety, prices should always be negotiated before your journey.
