China has witnessed a growth in economic optimism over recent years and a new era of open trade links with the west has begun. With China now poised to enter the World Trade Organisation (WTO), and with support from nations like the USA, the Asian market will go from strength to strength in its industrial output and relationships with its trading partners.
With strong demand pull to increase output, China's need for the latest in food technology has become critical. This is a fact that has been recognised by our SweetsTech exhibitors and the organisers will develop this section of the show for 2001, bringing in the leaders in the industry to display their latest equipment for confectionery production.
Sweetsexpo Asia was supported by the Hong Kong Confectionery and Bakery Association and gains their support for 2001.
