Electro-Components Pavilion

ITE has launched the electrocomponent pavilion in response to industry demand for an electronic components and assembly equipment exhibition targeting Kazakhstan where there are now unprecedented opportunities for companies entering this market.

Following a difficult period in the wake of the transformation of the Russian economy the Electronics market is now clearly demonstrating signs of recovery. The well publicised demand for consumer electronics, PC's and communications equipment has resulted in massive imports of foreign goods. The private sector is now the driving force behind the recovery of Kazakhstan. Entrepreneurs are able to buy components cheaply, take advantage of traditional skills and inexpensive labour.

Kazakh companies are however still finding the market economy a difficult environment in which to survive and the main beneficiaries of the high technologies developed in Kazakhstan will be foreign companies. By putting funds into Kazakhstan joint ventures foreign partners gain access to this technology and are able to cheaply produce prototypes.

Machinery and equipment for the manufacture of electronic components is in demand from local and international companies. Ample opportunity exists for international suppliers to sell into Kazakhstan, both to Kazakhstan companies and to international companies who manufacture there; for example Hewlett Packard. Already Sony, Phillips, NEC and LG Electronics are increasing their supply of components to the region. The whole field of assembly represents considerable opportunity, not only for the supply of assembly equipment but also production of Busses, Boards and packaged devices to the OEM 's.
