Hyatt Regency - Akademik Satpaev Avenue 29/6

Formerly the Marco Polo Rachat Palace Hotel, this 4/5 star hotel became part of the Hyatt chain in 1996. It is situated only a 20 minute walk away from the exhibition site. The 295 rooms are air-conditioned with minibars, IDD telephones and satellite TV, all have en-suite facilities. The hotel offers a first class business centre with fax/copy facilities and conference rooms. There is a choice of 3 restaurants on offer serving Austrian, Kazak and international cuisine. The reception area of the hotel hosts an ornate and impressive lobby bar in the shape of a giant nomadic Kazak dwelling - a yurta - as well as a variety of shops. There is an excellent health club with a large indoor swimming pool, a hammam (Turkish bath), sauna, whirlpool, gym and 3 open air tennis courts. Check-in time is 14:00 so if you plan to arrive earlier than this you must reserve your own room for the night before to ensure it is ready for you. Astana International - 113, Baytursynova Str.

The Astana opened in June 1996 and has rapidly established itself as providing good service and comfortable surroundings at a very reasonable price. Located close to the Presidential Palace and only a 15 minute walk from the exhibition site, the Astana is a 3/4 star hotel that would compare well with any 3/4 star hotel in any western city. The hotel is Kazak owned but run by an international management team. The facilities include a bar, coffee shop and French restaurant. There is a sauna with a plunge pool and massage facilities and a 2 lane bowling alley. The hotel has a fully equipped business centre offering all the usual services. Complimentary airport transfers (on the hotel shuttle bus) are included in the rate.

Hotel Otrar - 73 Gogol Street

Recently renovated, the Otrar is well situated in the city centre facing the park and near the business centre, a 10 minute drive from the exhibition site. Each of the 163 rooms has air-conditioning, a private bathroom, direct dial telephone, multi-channel TV, refrigerator and mini-bar. Hotel facilities include a service bureau for any travel requirements, a press-centre, sauna, beauty salon and shops. A good variety of Kazak, European, Pakistan and Indian cuisine is served in the restaurant's newly decorated dining halls. The Mexican-style night club is a very popular meeting place.
