BATIMAT ST. PETERSBURG 99 STILL GOING STRONG
Batimat St. Petersburg 99, 3rd International Building & Construction exhibition serving north-west Russia, will take place 27-30 October 1999, at Lenexpo Exhibition Centre,
St. Petersburg, Russia.
Once again Batimat St. Petersburg 99 will incorporate specialised industry showcases, Heat*Vent St. Petersburg 99 - 3rd International Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration exhibition and Interiors St. Petersburg 99 - 3rd International Furnishings, Finishes and Interior Design exhibition.
Heat*Vent St. Petersburg 99 has continued to develop over the past three years and has now become an established event in its own right, with market leaders including Oras, Ido, Viessmann, Panasonic, Grundfos, Electrolux, Artema and many more.
The "Windows & Doors" theme again sees an important German participation with companies like Thyssen, H�rmann, Aluplast, KBE, Fimtec, Gretsch Unitas, Elumatec, KFV, VFR, Hueck, Somfy coming back year after year.
Despite the economic difficulties experienced in Russia since August 1998, Batimat St. Petersburg 99 is still the leading international event for the building and construction industry in north-west Russia, with more and more companies realising the opportunities available.
Batimat St. Petersburg 99 is established as the most effective meeting place for face to face contact and this year sees over 250 companies from15 countries participating.
Batimat St. Petersburg 99 again has the full support of the Gosstroi Rossii, the State Committee for Construction, Architecture and Housing in the Russian Federation.
National Stands from Finland and the United Kingdom, with the support of their respective governments are prominent amongst the international exhibitors.
Most impressive though is the number of Russian companies participating, as they continue to increase their business as well as develop new international contacts.
Russian manufacturing companies such as Chudovo-RWS, P.P. Kreps, Izofleks and Nefrit Ceramica are among those, whose production has become very active and their products popular. There will be an increased number of exhibitors from other regions including Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Rostov-na-Dony and Orel are also participating.
Greater attention has been given to strengthen and develop promotion and show marketing. A Competition and Awards for best new products used in the construction sector of the north-west region will be conducted for the first time. That will be judged by a local panel of experts. A demonstration area will be organised, where companies will be able to present their products "alive in action" and also participate in different technical seminars and workshops.
There is great interest this year for the concept of "Landscape Architecture". The St. Petersburg Landscape Centre has a joint stand with various different companies that have just started work in Russia. A seminar will he held in order to introduce themselves.
The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology has included Batimat St. Petersburg 2000 (25-28 October 2000) in their official exhibition programme.
In conjunction with the German organiser GIMA, an information trip for companies interested in regional opportunities within the Building and Construction sector has been arranged. The programme will entail a visit to the exhibition, annual Gala Reception, meetings with Russian representatives of the north-west building industry as well as visits to present and potential building sites in and around St. Petersburg.
