Exhibition organiser ITE Group plc and the Dubai Dept of Tourism & Commerce are delighted to announce a premier partnership between Dubai and the leading travel trade exhibitions in Russia and Ukraine, MITT & UITT in 2009.
The partnership will complement Dubai’s promotional activities in two of their key priority outbound markets. The two countries contributed almost one third of a million tourists to Dubai in 2007 and both markets continue to produce healthy growth figures.
Mr. Saleh Al Geziry, Director of overseas promotions, Dubai Dept of Tourism & Commerce stated that. “It is a real honour for us to be the premier partner of MITT and UITT in 2009. We have been promoting Dubai as a tourist destination to the Russian outbound market for many years and the results have been very impressive. In 2009, we have identified Russia and its neighbour, Ukraine, as markets that we will be focusing our promotional activity to cement our destination in the minds of tourists from this part of the world.” He continued. “Dubai has ambitious plans with respect to the Russian and Ukrainian outbound travel markets and these two partnership deals are ideally timed to complement our activity here.”
International Event & Sales Director for MITT and UITT, Maria Badakh said. “Dubai has participated at MITT since its inception in 1993 and at Kiev at UITT since 1998. During this time, they have steadily increased their presence at the shows as these markets continue to deliver high spending tourists in increasing numbers. I am really looking forward to working with Dubai to make sure that their promotional activity at MITT and UITT delivers the results that they are looking for.”
In addition to the status as MITT’s Official Partner Destination in 2009, Dubai will be exhibiting in the Forum Pavilion with a 300 m² stand that will present their destination and around 60 businesses to the Russian market. One week later, the travel and tourism world will shift focus from Moscow to Kiev. Here, Dubai will also be the Official Partner Destination and will exhibit on a 200 m² stand promoting around 30 businesses.
MITT 2009 takes place on 18 – 21 March at Expocentr in Moscow and UITT 2009 takes place on 25 – 27 March at the IEC in Kiev. |
