ECMI ITE Asia Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of one of the world’s leading exhibition organisers, the ITE Group plc, is joining forces with one of Indonesia’s leading exhibition organiser, PT Prakarsa Sinergi Utama, to launch Paperex Indonesia 2014. This will be the country’s first major international trade exhibition and conference for the pulp, paper and allied industries and will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center on 3 - 4 December 2014.
Pulp and paper are one of Indonesia’s top ten export commodities. The pulp and paper sector is worth almost 6% of Indonesia’s US$ 169 billion non-oil and gas exports and the sector has given employment to over 250,000 people.
The growth of Indonesia’s pulp and paper industries has been boosted by investment and the support of the Indonesian government which has provided substantial capital subsidies to pulp and paper producers. Indonesia is now ranked as the world’s 9th biggest paper producer and 7th for pulp production.
The combination of international exhibition organisers, who have already produced many successful Paperex events in India and the promising outlook for the sector, means that Paperex Indonesia will be a prominent event for the industry, both domestically and globally.
