A new programme for bright people with a bright future

At ITE, we’ve been connecting businesses to the world for more than 20 years and we’re ready to do the same for your career. We recognise the value of investing in talent and we're delighted to be introducing our first graduate training programme.

We organise trade exhibitions in some amazing countries. Many are 'emerging markets' with strong growth potential, dynamic business environments and a keenness for development, modernisation and investment.

We’ve grown quickly and now employ more than 1000 staff in 30+ offices worldwide. Our business now generates revenues over £170 million per year.

We’re looking to continue our expansion in new and existing markets. As we grow, we need talent like yours to help deliver success starting with a two year placement graduate trainee programme from October 2015

Our Programmes

We are starting with two placements in our Graduate Trainee Programme. Both are UK based, but may include overseas project work. ITE is an international business and consequently, fluency in a second language would be advantageous.

The placements are located in our Group Head Office in North West London and our Moda events office which is based in the North of England.

Placement One: Commercial & Event Management

This will be ideally suited to someone looking for a career in sales and event management and is based in the North of England..

You will be undertaking a series of roles in sales, marketing, event co-ordination and finance and some tasks will bring you into direct contact with our customers.

You will gain experience of working in our London office and if the opportunity allows, may be seconded for a short period to one of our overseas offices in a position that suits your skills and learning.

The right people for this stream will be commercially aware, energetic, driven, a team-player with management and leadership potential.

Placement Two: Data Analyst - Marketing

Ideally suited to someone looking to pursue a career in data management, marketing and digital communications.

This programme will be based in London, working with our marketing, data and digital teams with exposure to a variety of other roles to widen your understanding of the complexity of our business. With a huge amount of customer data at the disposal of the Group, maximising business opportunities through effective market segmentation, demographic analysis and managing data formats is a commercial imperative.

The role will include trips to events and an opportunity to spend some time in our Moscow office with the Group's Centre of Operational Excellence..

The right people for this stream will be commercially aware, creative, analytical, energetic and possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Application Process

Stage One – Application:

If you’re interested in applying to become one of ITE’s first graduate trainees, please download the application form, ensuring that you answer all of the questions and send it with your CV to our recruitment partners at: [email protected].

Applications must be received by 13th March, if you are successful you will not hear from us before this date. Unfortunately due to the anticipated volume of applications we will not be able to give individual feedback on unsuccessful applications.

Stage Two – Telephone Interview:

If your application passes our initial screening process, you will be invited to take part in a competency-based telephone interview.

Stage Three – Online Evaluation:

If you are shortlisted for progress following the telephone interview, you will be required to complete some online psycometric evaluations.

Stage Four – Assessment Centres:

The final selection stage is at an assessment centre for a day of exercises and interviews. It will be intensive and not without pressure but we’ll make sure that it’s not too harrowing. We need to find if you're suited to the programme – not send you running for the hills.

Stage Five – Offer:

If we think you’ll be ideally suited to working with ITE, we’ll offer you a place on our programme and hopefully you’ll be in a position to accept.

We’ll exchange the necessary paperwork – and begin the on-boarding process prior to your start.

Stage Six – On-boarding:

Our on-boarding process will begin long before you start the programme. We want you to feel comfortable and confident on your first day. We will have a team of people who are ready to respond to your questions. We'll introduce you to your buddy. We'll invite you to a day of familiarisation and orientation in the office – and we'll stay in touch regularly via email.

Stage Seven – Start:

We’re looking forward to the start of the programme – and if you're successful, we expect that you'll be looking forward to it too. Your induction week will be busy, but you'll have plenty of information in advance about what to expect in your first days.

Your Learning Experience

Our Programme will provide:

External training where relevant

Trainees who secure a permanent role upon completion of the programme will be eligible to join the Company bonus scheme.

You’ll be supported throughout your time on the programme, but you’ll also be required to take real responsibilities and make an impact. Your contribution will be valued and while we're committed to helping you improve your business skills, we want you to be committed to making improvements to the business systems and processes too.

At the end of the programme, you’ll have a real insight into the workings of our business and a good idea of which roles you find most fulfilling and that suit your skills. You’ll also understand how our events contribute to business success on several levels – micro (businesses and individuals) and macro (national economies and global trade). The scheme will also give you sufficient time to demonstrate the value of your work to senior managers.

After you have completed your placements, we hope you’ll be keen to continue working with ITE on a permanent basis. There are job opportunities around the world, and we’re hopeful that we can find the right place for you to take future steps in your career progression with ITE.

"I always knew I wanted to work in a creative environment and with my previous experience in marketing and events, ITE Moda presented the perfect opportunity for me to continue building on my skills and interests in an exciting new industry. Since joining I have had the chance to develop in my role, taking ownership of projects such as web development, e-marketing and PR campaigns.
